Taipei police began an investigation into the students’ raid and brief occupation of the Executive Yuan compound on March 23, summoning 10 protesters for questioning yesterday.
The Taipei Police Department has identified more than 200 students and others by reviewing video footage and photographs taken during the storming of the compound.
Four of the 10 summoned did not report to police, citing personal business, officials said.
The department said it would be questioning all identified suspects.
Meanwhile, a group of lawyers yesterday went to the Taipei District Court to apply for the preservation of evidence for students and people injured during the violent eviction.
Attorney Kao Jung-chih (高榮志) said a dentist surnamed Wang and a junior-high school teacher surnamed Lin were beaten and seriously injured by police, and they have filed lawsuits.
Kao urged the court to seize footage and photos from police to make sure they were not destroyed.
